Transitioning…

It’s pretty much been two months since being back in Australia, we’ve gone from sweltering hot summers to quite opposite freezing cold winter (and some initial time getting winter clothes), we’re with his parents at the moment, and we are so lucky that where we are staying is one last thing to worry about, that and coming back to our old jobs, but the settling back that is taking a long time, finding a place for ourselves, yes we’ve seen it coming, talked about it a lot, and so we’re still living out of a suitcase, not having all our stuff, I’ve gone through so many different ranges of emotions and acceptances, in some ways it’s driving me mad, in other ways I feel grateful because I have a different mindset being back and things could be worse. I think retrospectively, before travels I felt stuck and most likely burnt out. I don’t know necessarily what led to it, maybe overworking, maybe not enough chill out time, I’m glad for that significant amount of time travelling to rejuvenate and reflect. I feel like now my life priorities are at the forefront before and around work obligations. That is making a difference while we are trying to find a place. It’s allowing me to wake up early in the morning feeling refreshed meditate or take a gym class before work, admittedly we’re not watching a lot of tv these days, and I’m reading a lot more which I’m loving! I feel like there is still time to see friends and spend time with family. I feel more energy and momentum this time around. I am in a good mood right now, that may have been because in lieu of a whole weekend last weekend of house hunting, I spent this morning doing my own yoga and spa session. Anyways I thought that was a good trade off!
