sleepy week

I’ve been on this not quite hyper, but some kind of sleepy heightened energy phase this week. Mister husband had been doing 2am training classes for his work, training from the US. Hadn’t really had to trial anything like this before. Turns out any tiny bit of change can affect my sleep, I tried to sleep in another room, but couldn’t, and when I did go to sleep in my normal bed and wake up at 1.30am to sleep in the spare room, became wide awake and was hard to go back to sleep. And then later on during the week, I was anticipating that I would be interrupted so yep wide awake and hard to fall asleep *sigh*. Fortunately, my work didn’t seem to be affected too much. I still got positive feedback. I found ways to self-care during this time, sleeping in as much as I could, and evening gym classes, lunch time naps, so it was sustained. I think I took a large withdrawal from the sleep bank though! So yes coming to this weekend I still feel tired and trying to push through, hopefully on the sleep home stretch. We’re back to house hunting and cafe-ing.

Cafe-ing at Einstein’s 251. Vegan options available – I had falafel wrap & soy chai – friendly staff and delicious menu – I was pre-occupied with the walls than taking pictures of food this time – I felt Dr. Seuss was close by!
